Worst Blogger Ever

Is that a title I can compete for? Because I think I am seriously in the running!

I've got lots of stuff I could have blogged about since the last time I wrote here, and I will, soon: the wonderful trip I had to to Maryland; the great Friday night knitting that's been going on here; Teva Durham's lovely book party; my nearly completed W tank top from the summer Knitty. I'll even have pictures for some of those! And links!

Things have been crazy for the last month and a half, though. Long-time readers know that my mom's been sick; well, she's still sick (as she will continue to be). It turns out that I'm taking this pretty hard, much harder than I expected to. It's been kind of the last straw that has overbalanced my extraordinarily precarious pile of responsibilities. Last week I faced up to it: I've been kind of a mess, and I could use some help. So I visited my friendly neighborhood helping professional for a chat and we arrived at a diagnosis: anxiety. Yep, that sounds right!

I should have known something was wrong when I didn't feel like blathering at the keyboard! My hope is that this will be sorted out relatively soon, with medical and therapeutic intervention. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who's been sweet enough to check in on a quiet blog, and I promise I've got cute sheep pictures, even though they're weeks late.

hello!

i just read your blog message right now. i'm glad to see that you went to talk to someone to get help. so many people have this thing about asking for help. but it's ok. i'm glad you did. and i'm sure everyone around you is glad you did. not to mention yourself. :)

it was great meeting you and it was even greater attending your spinning class. it was great to meet a young person into crafting who isnt so... what's the word.... in this yarn/crafty business. you seemed to be very knowlegeable about the topic and very friendly and helpful.

please keep me updated on when you have more spinning events! the roving is great!
