Ready, set, go!
Hi there! I'm starting to make that change I mentioned a couple of weeks ago -- the new blog is in place, and while it ain't exactly pretty yet, I've started posting to it. Here's the link:
It's called Miles of Yarn, and it's going to be a personal blog, and this blog here is going to be more about knitting and the store. I expect that the main topics over at the new blog are going to be running, writing, what's going on in my life (which will include some personal history/autobiography type stuff), maybe a little cooking here and there, also whatever I'm reading and listening to. Basically whatever comes up that seems "personal". I would love it if everyone who reads here would like to come there to read as well; I don't mean for it to be a "private" journal. Let me see if I can explain why I want to separate them.
The way I see it is this: if someone comes here to Citizen Skein from the Yarnivore main page, they are probably expecting a blog that's got to do with yarn and knitting. That reader might not mind an occasional entry about personal stuff, but I haven't wanted to push that too far. With two separate blogs, I'll feel freer to write about whatever comes up for me in my personal life, without feeling like it's so closely tied to the yarn store (though of course there will be a link right there on the side of the page!).
Come visit, say hi, and especially let me know if you are a knitter who runs, or if you are a runner who blogs, and I'll add you to my blogroll!

Rose,
I went to see your new blog and tried to add it to by bloglines blogroll. But it says that your new blog has no rss feed. Can you set one up so it will be easier to see when you post and update?
many thanks!
