Coffee of summer
Francis used to call Dr Pepper the "coffee of summer", but living in Brooklyn has taught me that there is a contender for that title: Manhattan Special.
Look at it, in all its sweet coffee splendor. It's carbonated espresso soda -- how cool is that? Mmmmmm.

Oh my god! I think the last time I had Mahattan Special was when my dad sent me a few bottles in a care package when I was in college. Oh man, I love that stuff! For a while when I moved to Seattle I could get a soda called BiBi Cafe. It was very close to MS. Thanks for the happy memory.

Bonus "cooking" tip: Manhattan Special is great for mocha egg creams.

oh wow - I must have some of that! Is that just a local NY thing or an east coast thing?
