Tribeca has a nice ring to it
The site that we're most excited about now is just below Canal Street, in a former industrial loft. It's got a million trains, and there's a good feel to the space.
I'm bummed to not be at the National Needlework Association trade show right now, but it didn't seem like a justifiable expense, when I want to mostly use small vendors. Going to the trade show is more for seeing the lines of yarn that the larger companies are promoting.

I work in a yarn store in Asheville; the best place we've found for finding smaller vendors en masse was the Maryland Sheep and Wool Fest (er, something like that - its linked on Wendy's blog on a page about fiber fests here: http://wendyknits.net/knit/fiberfestivals.htm ) lots of great smaller vendors.
