Cranking It Up So I
Cranking It Up
So I was just reading about how some people are completely up in arms about the new Looney Tunes DVD set. To which I say, "People! Did you not read the sign that says 'No Idiots Past This Sign'?"
These "people" (represented by precisely one person in the article -- dude, that's not even as much corroboration as you get in a trend article!) are apparently galled because Warner Bros. didn't include every single one of their favorite cartoons on this set. Here's the quote from the one crank fan they cited (from a review on Amazon.com, always a source of measured reasoning):
"I would have rather never had these shorts be released than to deal with this garbage. I hope it sells well enough to justify a full release on DVD of everything.''
Well, I do believe their goal is to keep releasing DVDs, sir. As the article points out, there are, in fact, over 1,000 Looney Tunes shorts in existence. More than one DVD set's worth, I suspect.
