Halloween is nearly upon us, and you know what that means: time for novelty Halloween songs!
Earlier this month, Lorinne was telling me about a CD she acquired at Disneyland circa 1999, in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion, which featured a track she particularly loved, in which Paul Frees (the voice of the Ghost Host, as well as the voice of Ludwig von Drake and many other characters) provided some samples of ghost laughter. "I would love to hear a remix of just those laughs," she said, or something to that effect. Then she added, "So you should do that." Well, I'm nothing if not suggestible. I think we bandied about a few possible titles ("Ghosts on 45"? I can't remember now), but "Now That's What I Call Ghosts Laughing" was the clear winner. And now you can enjoy the result.
Ahhhh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Posted by Francis at 09:37 AMThe true spirit of Halloween isn't in bite-sized candies or rubber "bloody" hands, and it *certainly* isn't anything resembling a Saw movie. Halloween is embodied here in its purest state. Ghosts (voiced by Paul Frees) laughing, set to a beat you can move to.
Posted by: Lorinne at October 28, 2010 02:36 PMI spent the last month grabbing every bit of Haunted Mansion audio I could find. Pity I didn't happen across this two weeks ago. Awesome.
