For the gen-X indie music dork, pretty much the greatest thing that could ever happen, ever
That is, Robyn Hitchcock and Andy Partridge collaborating on an album. I feel so amazingly target-marketed to by the universe.
Posted by Francis at 12:53 PMI want to be excited about this, but... when was the last time either of them made a record I liked? I kind of dug one song on Luxor, I guess. I haven't exactly adjusted to Robyn's absence in my musical pantheon, but whenever he puts out a new album these days I end up disappointed.
Posted by: Aaron at May 16, 2008 04:18 PMI thought Robyn's "Spooked" was terrific, and I had no complaints with the last two XTC albums. Andy's Fuzzy Warbles series has been wildly inconsistent, to be sure, but that's all stuff from the archives, not new stuff.
