Posted by: Songbird at March 3, 2006 08:20 PMSomething similar just happened to us! We sold our house but before the bank would process our check they had to notify the gov't. Huh? Yes, its required now! The teller was concerned that we had such a high balance in our checking and savings that hadn't "moved" for so long.
