Java jive

My friend Jon points out the Paint By Numbers puzzles on the new, extra-rudimentary Games magazine website are not presented in the most sensible fashion, since traditionally the point of such puzzles is that you don't know what they are until you fill in the grid.

A website? For Games? How very modern!

I haven't seen a Games magazine since junior high... wow, everything IS cyclical... I didn't even know they still existed.

What do you make of that contest on the site? I got nothin'.

Yeah, it's a pretty impressive website, isn't it? It's got, like, three whole puzzles on it. (Well, that's not quite fair; they also have a few crosswords, although it seems like they ought to tell you what issue of the magazine the puzzles are from.) And a lot of pages that are either under construction or nonexistent.

As for the contest, yeah, I have no idea what to do with that.

Anyone try 3-D glasses on that contest text?

Late comment...I solved it today, thanks largely to an extremely astute observation from a fellow intern.

No 3D involved; I'll say that.
