I'm curious about her suspending her decision for 30 days to allow an appeal. Does she expect and hope that the City will kick the decision upstairs, to be decided on by SCOTUS? (Sidebar question: is SCOTUS the next step up? I don't know my judicial system that well.) I could see such a thing having a major effect on the Constitutional amendment drive, giving a serious impetus to folks on both sides of the issue.
