Raleigh, North Carolina, is stymied by one inch of snow. I mean, yes, ice is not something you want to be driving on no matter how thick it is, but still: let's all take a moment to laugh at the misfortune of others.
But snow is not all about bewildering Southerners. There are other ways snow can enliven a slow news day.

Also, we didn't even have an inch of snow, and my daughter's school has been closed for two days. Feh.
Thanks,

Laugh all you want, but my parents live in Raleigh (after having lived up north my whole life, so they are very drive in the snow clueful.) Apparently it took my mom five hours to get home last week and she ended up leaving the car a 40 minute walk away. This is usually a 20 minute drive. Granted, that could be because of the stupidity of the "oh my god it's snowing" southerners, but she said it was really freakish out there.

Now that I've dug out of the 11 inches in Detroit, I can afford a case of shovelfreude.
