Secrets of blogging, #1: link to things written by other people
This has been linked to by many a blog, but perhaps it is still new to you -- the Morning News's Tricks of the Trade, which reveals inside secrets about acting drunk, writing newspaper headlines, and selling pianos, among many others. Anyone here got any of their own?

Affect world-weariness. Drink a large amount of one intoxicant in particular, preferably whiskey. Few writers are known for their Midori Sour habits.
Smoke tiny cigarettes. Grow a beard. Curse incessantly, but creatively. People will think you're intense and leave you alone so you can watch wrestling.
